I have five new obsessions...

I guess its time for a little confession time. Sometimes I get "into things" and I become a bit obsessed. These little things are always changing, so I though I would document Five things that I can't get enough of right now.
1. San Pellegrino...but only in the glass bottle. My little sis Joy got me into it when I was in CDA last week. I just love the stuff! It has the perfect amount of bubbles...not too much!
2. Chuck. This is another vice that I picked up from Joy. Thank you sister! Its a really fun show, a little funny and a little cute.
3. Starbucks Ethiopian Coffee! I think its new? I'm not really sure. But lately I have been drinking black coffee and I am really loving this one! I still can't believe I drink coffee black. Somehow I think it increases my coolness though. :)
4. For a week I have been on the South Beach Diet. I am loving it! I did this diet about five years ago and lost ten pounds. It really taught me a lot of principles that I've never forgotten, and now I am back on the bandwagon of doing the diet full blast.
5. And best for last....my new camera! Here is a GIS image of my camera, since all my other photos on here are GIS. And of course I have mentioned the camera on my blog before...maybe I am bragging a little, so I am sorry!

Have a happy Wednesday everyone! Anyone else have "obsessions" that they want to admit?

We just got back from amazing Victoria!

We had so much fun. Matty and I went for three nights to Victoria. We went there on our honeymoon and it was fun doing some of the same things again. We tried to take repeat photographs...Matt buying Roger's chocolates, Matt in the coffee shop, Me in front of the blue bridge. It was so much fun. I thought I would post a photo or two before I head off again...this time to my home town of Spokane where we will be for five days!

Us having tea at the Empress:
The awesome latte art at our favorite cafe...isn't this just the coolest?
I tried to take an "artsy" photo of the empress...I have seen tons of people photograph the sun and get these sun spots on purpose. I'm not sure what that's about, but it was fun. :)
I am sure I will have many more photos later. As for now, I need to pack and repack! And do laundry! And cool this house down somehow, as I believe it is in the mid eighties in here.

Matt's birthday

Matty's birthday is this Sunday. We are going out of town tomorrow morning, so we celebrated with his family on Wednesday and with friends on Thursday night. I have some photos from my new camera!!!

Annie made us an excellent dinner on Wednesday and we had some chocolate mousse and strawberry ice cream for dessert. I really loved that little cake and colorful candle.

On Thursday night we met some friends at Tutta Bella for pizza and gelato. The service was poor but the food was excellent! I got a yummy Mediterranean pizza with goat cheese on it...yum!!!
And lastly, here is a photo that I took with my old camera of my NEW CAMERA!!!

I got my camera!

I got my camera in the mail yesterday!

I went straight to Annie's house after work to wait for the UPS guy. Fortunately even though Annie was out all day the UPS guy hadn't come yet. He got there around 4:00. I was so happy to see my big box arrive, and I opened it right away!

I had to charge the battery and then I went to boot camp, so it took a little while before I was able to play with the camera. It came in a big box with all sorts of pieces and I put it together myself. (Okay, it was just camera + lense + memory card + battery + strap, and then Matt added the filter when he got there. Not so hard.)

At this point I am a total newbie and I only know how to shoot in Auto mode. Even still, the pictures are so CLEAR. The quality is AMAZING. I am so happy.

Weekend 8/6-8

It was a pretty tame weekend as you will soon see. I did go out with some nice girls on Friday night to Dilettante chocolates. I got some free chocolates from the nice manager. :)
Saturday, as I said, was pretty low key! Matty and I woke up early and ran the lake. For lunch we met Heather & Phil in Magnolia. Heather is the event planner for the annual Summerfest for Seafair in that neighborhood. But alas, it was raining cats and dogs and there really wasn't much going on.

The rest of the day we pretty much laid low. We did some online shopping including buying me a NEW CAMERA!!! We were going to wait until Christmas when prices are better, but decided it would be a good idea to have a nice camera for my vacation next week. I am SO EXCITED!!!

Sunday photos are so, so boring. But lets be honest. Boredom is part of every day life, right?
I cleaned the house...
Matty fixed his bike...
We went to Wal-Mart. Just a note...we don't go here often! In fact, hardly EVER. But we both needed deodorant, face wash and body wash, so there we went.
We finished up the evening with some fabulous Chinese food. I took a lot of photos in the restaurant but all turned out AWFUL. I guess its the terrible lighting in those places. Hopefully when I get my NEW CAMERA it wont be so hard to take indoor photos.
So that was my weekend. Pretty mundane, don't you think?

Wedding photos!

Here are a few favorite pictures. Most of them aren't of the Bride and Groom...I just went a little camera happy with my friends.

This is the shot that Renae, Jen & I have gotten at every single wedding we've gone to together:
Matty and his soda standing next to the clothesline full of photos. This was one of my favorite things about the wedding! There was even a picture of Aileen & I after our half marathon last fall!
These girls are so cute! They love weddings so much that they even have a wedding blog. :)
This was such a cute idea. I just love those paper pinwheels...I got to take one home! :)
Okay here is one photo of the adorable bride and groom. I loved their cake topper!
Yes, I did climb a tree in high heels!
Here is the cutest couple at the wedding:
Congratulations Aileen! It was a beautiful wedding and I am so glad I got to come!
Thanks for looking at all these photos. Even though you can really only see the people in the photos...isn't this just the cutest wedding ever?

Seriously terrible

I just went on a 4.5 mile jog. I have never felt worse on a run! I feel exhausted, weak, and just a little sick inside.

It may be because I went to a fabulous wedding yesterday and ate SO MUCH FOOD. Here is an example...And on Thursday I ate all this food at the Bachelorette party:

So you can imagine that this girl needs to not only run a little more, but also GO ON A DIET! Now that it is August 1st and the start to a new month, I need to have a few goals. Over the next few days I am going to come up with a plan. I always do well when I have a plan.

Tomorrow I will be back with weekend photos, which includes some more from the wedding!

Hopefully in a few days I will post about my fabulous weight loss plan!
