We just got back from our quick weekend trip to the San Juan Islands. We had a blast! I ended by running a marathon, but more on that later. First, I have pretty pictures to share!
We started our Saturday at the Friday Harbour Farmer's Market.
Next, We discovered our awesome campsite, which was at San Juan park, just across the island from Friday Harbour.
We met the camp cat, who reminded us a lot of Flash!
The view from the campground was just breathtaking. You could see all the way to Canada! In fact, my phone kept internationally roaming, which was quite the annoyance.
We did a lot of driving throughout the island during the day on Saturday. Part of that was to drive my race course. We ended up eating lunch at Roche Harbour.
I tried to take some pictures in the flower garden, I am loving having my camera back!!
On our way back to the campsite we visited the British camp and the Alpaca farm. We got quite a bit of exercise hiking and walking around.
Back at the campsite, we enjoyed reading, caterpillars, roasting naan bread on the fire, a beautiful sunset, and even some fireworks late at night coming from Victoria. It was truly a wonderful evening.
Sunday I ran a marathon!! I want to write a more detailed marathon post, but right now I will just show a few photos.
I had a blast this weekend, but I am sure happy to be home and showered. I plan to put my legs up and be super lazy today!
So glad. It sounds like a wonderful weekend! So glad your race was at such a lovely place.
