Yay!!! It came today! I promised mom that I would post on my blog when I got a new computer. And its here! Yay!!!
This week has gone by so fast! I was sick for the first two days and then on Wednesday Matt and I went skiing. Now its Friday, and we are going skiing again tomorrow at Steven's pass. Can't wait!
Just a few quick notes...
-I have a web cam now, which means that I can get skype and maybe talk to Joy someday! Joy, let me know if ya want to.
-I made fresh oatmeal cookies this afternoon which were devoured at the home meeting (some by me, unfortunately)
-I discovered today while watching a PBS cooking show that some people have a certain genetic dislike of cilantro. Sometimes it makes the cilantro taste like soap. This is very eye opening for me because I have friend that dislike it and I have never understood why.
-Yesterday I watched the Star trek TNG episode where the Ferengi get stranded in the delta quadrant and I remember months ago watching a Voyager episode about those same Ferengi that had settled on a planet. This was a light bulb moment for me, but I am sure makes no sense whatsoever to any of you reading this.
-I ran three miles today even though I had a headache and am still super sore from snowboarding/falling/working out.
Well I have to say again that am so glad that I have a computer!!!

Weekend update
Awesome Ellen has allowed me to use her computer. However, I am being entirely rude by using it at her house while there are lots of people over, so I had better make this short!
For all you that asked about the computer, we got it on Costco.com and it is an HP. It is 17.3 inches wide. That is all I know. I also got an external hard drive which is Peter is loading with all my stuff from my previous dead computer.
My running has been brought to a swift halt with my present state of being infected by a virus. Yes folks, I am sick. I hate being sick. All I do is blow my nose, sanitize my hands, drink water, take Zycam, and lay around. I tried to do some weights while I watched Star Trek this afternoon, but that didn't last long. I am SO BUMMED OUT!!! I really want to do great on this race coming up, but so far I have been SLACKING.
On a brighter note...I lost a pound this week!!! YAY! And Now I will bring to an end all this rudeness and get off la computadora. But one more thing...I finished my book Pride & Prejudice which was awesome!

Quick Post
I am writing this from Hannah's teeny tiny computer because mine is out of commission at the moment. It keeps freezing! It will stay of for about ten minutes and then will completely freeze and not work and you have to turn it off. Bummer!
We had a fun weekend in Spokompton. It was a really busy weekend and we visited a TON of people. It was a blast running 7.3 miles with Rachel on the Centennial trail. I got to see a couple new babies and hang out with some crazy kids. We also had several girl nights at Renae's and we even went on a midnight walk. Fun stuff! I didn't get to see Renae that much, which is SAD. :( Next time, Renae, I am going to stay with you so I can see you more.
But now I am back to real life, which is computer-less and movie-less (I have to use the computer to print out the movie coupon.) So I am chilling with P & H and waiting for Matt to get home.

Lazy Thursday
On Thursdays I don't go to work until 12. I usually go to the gym at 7 and work out for an hour. So this means from 8-11 or so I am extremely lazy! I usually drink some coffee and have some breakfast. And then I sit at the computer and look at things like facebook or other people's blogs. My goal for this morning is to get off the computer by 9 am and do something productive with my day!
Just a few updates from the week...
1) Matt and I have been cooking lots of meat & veggies for dinners this week. We have been very healthy!
2) Because its raining so hard over here we have both been gym rats this week.
3) Taking a picture a day is getting quite hard. Yesterday I took a photo of my cats getting high on cat nip because I had forgotten until the end of the day!
4) I have run out of photos to scrapbook. I hate it when that happens.
5) We figured out a way to watch Star Trek original series remastered on Hulu. The picture looks amazing! Its so weird that they don't have comm badges or replicators.
So here is my cats getting high on cat nip. Leo just sat in this position for several minutes. He didn't move a muscle.

10 (long winded) reasons that Seattle is a great city
1. It is nice enough year round to always be able to exercise outside. Today I went running in the 55 degree weather, mid January!
2. Coffee is delicious and plentiful. Espresso of any kind can be found only minutes away.
3. There are many Ethnic food restaurants that are AMAZING; our favorites are Korean food, the authentic taco place and Taste of India.
4. It is so scenic! On a clear day you can see gorgeous mountains in every direction.
5. It is close to so many out door activities, including lots of skiing choices and endless hiking and camping opportunities.
6. There is fluoride in the water! :)
7. People here seem to value exercise. Especially at Green lake (where we are a lot) there are always people jogging or walking, and in general every one looks fit.
8. Trader Joe's is here! Which is my favorite store!
9. The church in Seattle is great, lots of awesome and enjoyable saints.
10. Matt and Jenn live here. And we are incredible people; definitely worth living close to. ;)

Some more photos...by request!!!
James, here are some more photos of our lovely gingerbread party/gathering. I don't have a ton, but a few!
Okay, this next one isn't from the party, but it is our own little version of an awkward family photo!
Hey mom! How are you doing on your photo a day? Keep it up and it will be great. I have started to do a little mini version of that where I take a photo a day and keep it in a 4x6 album. It is my attempt at not scrapbooking EVERY LITTLE THING! (Matt says my books are too fat and Renae recently counted them and there are ELEVEN. I am getting the drift.)

A few photos from the weekend...
...Sorry for my bad attitude on Saturday. Things have been looking up a bit.
The gingerbread party was fun. Even Matt liked it!
We got to have a little mini date at Rockwood bakery...
And the first thing I did in the New Year was run at Bowl & Pitcher with Rachel. I am so glad that I started my year out right!

1) This blog is pretty silly, why do I write here?
2) I am in Spokane and I miss Seattle.
3) I miss my kitty Leo.
4) I miss my sis & bro in law.
5) This is the first year that I am not looking forward to the gingerbread party.
6) I also miss Joy.
7) I like chatting with my parents.
8) I like sneaking into North Park.
9) I am having a hard time liking my life or myself right now.
10) This is the first year I don't have any resolutions.
Sorry to be so gloomy.
Tomorrow will be a better day.
